Rental Policies
Rental Period
The standard rental period will be listed in your invoice or rental agreement. Rental periods may vary depending on the type of order, event date, shipping timeline, and availability.
For shipped rentals, items are usually scheduled to arrive before the event and must be shipped back after the event by the agreed return deadline. If you need additional rental time, please contact us before your event. Extra time may be available depending on item availability and may require an additional fee.
Deposit and Payment Policy
A deposit or full payment may be required to reserve your decor. The required payment amount will depend on the size and type of order. Your date and items are not officially reserved until the required payment has been received.
If a deposit is paid, the remaining balance must be paid by the due date listed on your invoice or agreement. Orders must be paid in full before they are shipped, released, or made available for pickup. Deposits may be non-refundable once items are reserved, prepared, customized, or removed from availability for other clients. Custom orders may require a higher deposit or full payment before work begins.
Shipping Policy
Shipping options will depend on the size, quantity, and type of decor being rented or purchased. Some items may be available for shipping, while larger or more delicate pieces may require local pickup, delivery, or special arrangements.
For shipped rentals, we make every effort to schedule delivery so the items arrive before your event with enough time for setup. However, shipping carrier delays may be outside of our control. Clients are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address. MM & Co. Decor is not responsible for delays, missed deliveries, or additional fees caused by incorrect shipping information.
Shipping costs will be listed in your invoice or agreement. In some cases, shipping to the client may be included in the rental price. Unless otherwise stated in writing, return shipping is the client's responsibility.
Return Shipping Responsibility
Unless otherwise stated in writing, the client is responsible for shipping rental items back to MM & Co. Decor after the event. Return shipping must be completed by the agreed return deadline. The client must provide tracking information as proof that the items were shipped back on time.
The client is responsible for making sure items are properly packed and protected for return shipping. If items are damaged during return transit due to poor packaging, the client may be responsible for repair or replacement costs. We recommend using a reliable shipping carrier and keeping all receipts and tracking information until the return has been fully received and reviewed.
Damage and Replacement Policy
Rental items must be returned in the same condition they were received. The client is responsible for any items that are lost, broken, stained, bent, crushed, burned, altered, or otherwise damaged while in their possession.
Damage may include, but is not limited to: broken vases or glassware, missing flowers or greenery, bent or crushed floral stems, stained fabric, ribbon, florals, or decor, wax damage, water damage, burn marks, missing pieces, cracked, chipped, or broken items, permanent alterations, and items returned with strong odors, residue, or heavy dirt.
If an item is returned damaged, the client may be charged a repair fee or the full replacement cost. If an item is not returned at all, the client will be responsible for the full replacement cost.
Late Return Fees
​Rental items must be returned by the agreed deadline. If items are returned late without prior approval, late fees may apply. Late returns can affect other client orders and event reservations, so it is very important that all rentals are shipped back or returned on time.
If you believe your return may be delayed, please contact us as soon as possible. Additional rental time may be available if requested in advance, but it is not guaranteed.
Cleaning and Handling Expectations
​All rental items should be handled with care and returned in clean, reasonable condition. Please do not attempt to deep clean, wash, scrub, soak, or use harsh chemicals on any rental items unless instructed. Some floral and decor pieces are delicate and may be damaged by improper cleaning.
Before returning your rental items, please make sure they are free from food, drink spills, candle wax, dirt or mud, confetti, glitter, tape residue, glue, strong odors, and event trash or packaging that was not originally included. Items should be repacked carefully and securely. Fragile pieces should be wrapped and cushioned to prevent movement inside the box.
Custom Orders
Custom orders are available for clients who want decor created in a specific color scheme, theme, or style. Custom designs may require additional processing time, a custom quote, and a non-refundable deposit or full payment before work begins.
Because custom pieces are made specifically for your event, they may not be eligible for cancellation, return, or refund once materials have been purchased or work has started.
Cancellations and Changes
If you need to cancel or make changes to your order, please contact us as soon as possible. Changes may be accepted depending on item availability, order size, timeline, and whether custom work has already begun. Cancellations may be subject to non-refundable deposits, preparation fees, custom design fees, or other costs already incurred.
